The people behind Umo Art & Design
Umo Art & Design was founded by Maurits Pit and is led together with his partner Ivonne Hulsink, supported by a close-knit team of talented artists and an experienced framer. Driven by passion, creativity and a strong attention to detail, they work together on artworks that reflect the identity of the client and the interior in which the piece will take its place.
Listening, thinking along and translating ideas form the basis of every collaboration. Translating personality and individual wishes into art is not always straightforward, but this is precisely where the strength of Umo Art & Design lies.
The spirit behind Umo Art & Design
An interior can bring a sense of calm or provide inspiration. Art forms the final piece of the puzzle: the element that brings a space together and completes it. Since 2015, Umo Art & Design has contributed to interiors in which atmosphere, emotion and design are in balance.
That is why we collaborate with national and international artists and photographers. This results in a versatile collection suited to a wide range of interior projects, from homes and offices to hospitality, dining venues and other public spaces.

Met kennis van materialen, afwerking en presentatie begeleiden wij elk werk van idee tot eindresultaat, met oog voor detail en kwaliteit.
Our approach
At Umo Art & Design, the relationship between art and interior is central. We see art as a personal expression that gives a space meaning and strengthens the overall design. With in-depth knowledge of materials, finishes and presentation, we guide each artwork from concept to final result, with a strong focus on detail and quality.
Sustainability, quality and craftsmanship
We work with a carefully curated collection of abstract paintings, photographic art and art objects. Each piece is produced only after an order has been placed. This approach prevents overproduction and waste, and allows artworks to be tailored to specific wishes in terms of size, colour or execution.
For abstract art, we work directly with artists who create commissioned works, after which each piece is professionally framed by our experienced framer. Photographic art is also produced exclusively on demand, ensuring that quality and care are maintained at every step of the process.
